Submissions for the Mission: Film competition are now officially closed. We would like to thank all participants for their entries and the courage to take part. The curators of the Future Gate Film Festival are currently selecting the best short films that will advance to the grand finale.
The competition finale will take place on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at the legendary Lucerna Cinema in Prague, where the finalist films will be screened for the audience and a professional jury composed of representatives from both the film industry and the space sector. Look forward to film screenings, the announcement of winners in all four age categories, and, of course, the award ceremony.
Film Competition – Mission: Film
The finale will connect the worlds of cinema and space, offering inspirational stories, original ideas from young creators, and a stellar experience in one of the most iconic Czech cinemas.
The entire program will be held in the spirit of the Czech Journey to Space and space innovation supported by the ESA BIC Czech Republic.
Because space is no longer just science fiction.
It’s closer than we think.
