INTRODUCTION
Release actuators for space can retain a high preload and release it on demand. They are extremely reliable and very expensive. Some of them can be only fired once and then sent for refurbishment abroad. Meanwhile, space mechanisms need to be tested on ground – sometimes more than hundred times.
That is why SPACERACE creates ATLAS – representative to the original space devices, but designed for ergonomics and efficiency in ground testing. Bringing down the cost of the tests and making the customers faster.
