The rocket being developed by Suborbitality is a reusable, autonomous suborbital space launch vehicle designed to carry up to 50 kg of payload with a servicing range of 100 to 175 km above sea level. The rocket is intended to deliver its payload to the desired altitude and use its recovery system to land back softly in an autonomously controlled manner, allowing the rocket to be reused, lowering the costs of manufacturing, operation, and recovery. With a launch manifest up to two flights per month, this will be a solution to a problem that is affecting the space market: it is underserved by all active suborbital rockets which are more expensive and dedicated for higher altitudes.
