INTRODUCTION

ZETJET Technologies s.r.o. is an engineering company active in advanced aircraft propulsion. From five years of basic research, it has discovered energy efficiency gains for aviation by recuperative propulsion. This is somewhat similar to a heat pump, where ambient heat is “pumped up” to a higher temperature level, being a second source of energy. For aircraft propulsion, the second source of energy is not ambient heat, but the propulsion inflow to the engine. Having a second source of energy always reduces the energy needed from on-board storage. Using static recuperation only, we already have measured two-digit efficiency gains, which can significantly reduce the specific fuel consumption or electric energy needed of an aircraft. There are several patents filed (held by an IP-Box and privately), some not yet published.
